Let me start by saying it’s been a hot minute since I read a JS book。 I’ve been all about murder & mayhem。 That being said。No one does witty banter like her。 She is the queen of flirty， fun romance。 I literally find myself laughing out loud and slapping my knee when I read her books。 It has it all。 And perhaps it is predictable。 But I do not care。 I love the stories。 And it was exactly what I needed today。

I absolutely loved this first book in the Sunrise Cove series。 Levi and Jane pull you into their story from the very beginning and you can’t help but root for them AND Charlotte and Mateo their best friends – two love stories all rolled into one book！ Jane has trouble trusting ANYONE and Levi is patient with her – slowly working his way into her life until she doesn’t realize how it happens。 He becomes the person she leans on regarding her relationship with her grandfather。 Charlotte is her “sou I absolutely loved this first book in the Sunrise Cove series。 Levi and Jane pull you into their story from the very beginning and you can’t help but root for them AND Charlotte and Mateo their best friends – two love stories all rolled into one book！ Jane has trouble trusting ANYONE and Levi is patient with her – slowly working his way into her life until she doesn’t realize how it happens。 He becomes the person she leans on regarding her relationship with her grandfather。 Charlotte is her “soul sister” also having trouble with trust – yet she can’t help lusting for Matteo， her next door neighbor， fellow doctor and Levi’s best friend。 He constantly does nice things for her that she just doesn’t know how to accept。 These two couples make you cheer for them from page 1。 I can’t wait for the next book！ 。。。more

Rating- 4Heat- 1Tropes- fake datingI picked up this book solely because of the setting。 I wanted a winter read that wasn’t Christmas。 （I never get snow， so sometimes I have to live it through books。） The Lake Tahoe setting gave me just the fix I was looking for， but the characters ended up being the highlight of the book。 We get not just 1 romance， but two， and an absolutely delightful cast of side characters in a family。

I didn't think there would ever be a Jill Shalvis series that I loved like I do the Heartbreaker Bay series but this introduction to Sunrise Cove has definitely made its way towards the top！ This story， the characters， the situations all had me captivated from page 1！ Jane （and Charlotte and Mateo） are all in the medical field， which I truly haven't read nearly enough stories with a lot of medical personnel。 So I loved reading that side of it。 And while often a career can be a lot of a person's I didn't think there would ever be a Jill Shalvis series that I loved like I do the Heartbreaker Bay series but this introduction to Sunrise Cove has definitely made its way towards the top！ This story， the characters， the situations all had me captivated from page 1！ Jane （and Charlotte and Mateo） are all in the medical field， which I truly haven't read nearly enough stories with a lot of medical personnel。 So I loved reading that side of it。 And while often a career can be a lot of a person's personality， Jane and the others were so much more。 This story and Levi and Jane （and the bonus of Charlotte and Mateo） was just so much。 From how Jane and Levi meet， in what is such a terrifying experience， and completely real。 It's something that could happen to anyone （hopefully won't） but it's entirely possible for a gondola to lose power in a storm。 I was so captured in reading that， in the feelings it brought up， that I had to read through that until the hospital before I put the kindle down。 And that was just the start of the story of Jane and Levi！ There's still so much in their story to read！ I can't wait for the next book in the series， because this story has definitely exceeded my expectations！ 。。。more
